The world’s largest population of humpback whales are found along the incredible shores of Newfoundland (pictured above).  Other species you’ll find in our waters are minkes, sperm, blue, orcas- up to 22 different species.  We recommend you book a whale watching tour while you’re vacationing.  Between May and September, these whales can be seen breaching the surface of the water and playing along our shores.  If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see these beautiful creatures completely jumping out of the water.  What an amazing experience to witness!  Be sure to bring your camera- you may get to capture a picture of a lifetime of these majestic mammals.
